Hey, I think I need some help here. So I've tried this method with two of my t-shirts (one is 60% cotton and the other is 100%) however when I tried them on, it's loose on me and it eventually slides off my shoulders. The problem has something to do with the back side of the shirt and how loose it is. How should I solve this to make the upper side of the shirt fit nicely?

@Sophia, in your difficulty, the best may be to grab a shoulder length of elastic and hand stitch it to the back toppest points of this shirt. 25cents of elastic and less than 4 minutes to stitch. <3

Hi Sophia, thank you for reaching out! I’m happy to help you. Not sure if you are using ribbed t-shirt or regular t-shirt, but sometimes even the rib material is not strong enough to hold around the shoulders. I would suggest adding elastic around the shoulder opening instead. To repair the cut shirts, you could make a 1”~1¼” tunnel like I did on this one shoulder crop top tutorial. Adding an elastic band will snug around the opening and help prevent the shoulders from sliding off. Hope it works and let me know if you have any other questions.
